WORLD CUP GRAFTON STYLE

With the World Cup just around the corner, we will be screening many of the big matches at Grafton. Check out the poster to find out the best matches we will be showing from the group stages - including all 7pm kick offs on Tuesday-Thursdays when the bar is normally open anyway. No need to register, just show up. Keep an eye on The Grafton Chronicle Whats App Group for knockout matches to be shown once they get confirmed!

WAVING GOODBYE TO TENNIS FLOODLIGHTS CHARGES

As of today – tennis floodlight charges are a thing of the past! Tennis memberships rates have now increased to include the use of floodlights and these new fees will be applied on the next renewal of your annual membership.

Using Floodlights Now:

Lights must be switched off at 10pm. The club is subject to a fine or removal of our licence on non-compliance of this switch-off time. Members are asked to please note the following:

  • Only insert enough tokens for your session (each token lasts for 30 mins);
  • Do not insert a token after 9:30pm;
  • Tokens are now freely available in the kitchen; these will either be in a glass under the light boxes or in the open light box drawers;
  • It takes lights on courts 3-8 about 10 minutes to switch on. It's therefore recommended that you insert tokens for your session as soon as you arrive to avoid that down time.

Coming Soon...
We have now appointed a contractor to commence work on the upgrade of the tennis floodlights at the club. This project will include:

  • New LED floodlights on courts 3-8
  • Re-aiming of the floodlights on Courts 1-2 to reduce the glare that affects play on rear courts
  • Upgrade to an integrated court booking / floodlight activation system via MyCourts

We hope to agree timelines for the project this week...
