SOCIAL SOCIALS (Wed 16 Oct onwards):
Starting from Wednesday 16th October we are launching a new weekly squash social session. It will start at 7pm and run to 9.15pm on ALL three courts. We hope that players of all standards will join in. Cost is £2.50 for members – non-members are welcome at a cost of £5 per session. This is in conjuction with the Tennis Social, so Wednesdays at the club are Social Socials!
We will continue with the Sunday Squash Social session from 5.30-7.30 pm (members £2.50, non-members £5) and hope that providing two sessions will allow the majority of members to take part. And of course, the leagues continue to flourish.
WHATSAPP GROUP:
To increase communications for squash members we are proposing to set up a WhatsApp group for “Grafton Squash”. This will be similar to the ‘Grafton Chronicle’ for tennis and maybe other groups such as those that can play during weekdays etc. (aka ‘Slacker Friday’ in tennis circles) can be set up. Andrew Hoad will get in touch with individual members to see if they want to join. For those that do join, you'll be made an admin, so you can reach out to your contacts/ members in your leagues etc.

SQUASH OPEN DAY (16 Nov, 1pm)
On 16th Nov between 1pm – 5pm, we are having a Squash Open Day. This is an opportunity to open our club doors to new members as part of a new recruitment drive, so please put the date in the diary – more details to follow.
SQUASH MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
So, we’ve had the walls replastered..what next? In the first instance we are looking to raise the profile of the club in general and squash in particular. Over the next few weeks, the Committee will be advising of new initiatives to promote squash at the club. If we are successful, we are aiming to reward our hard work with new lights, a new roof and GLASS-BACKED COURTS. Please let us know if you want to help etc!

FAST FOURS TENNIS (5 Oct, 11am)
Inaugural Grafton Fast Fours TENNIS! £10 includes brunch, balls and banter.
Four game matches - tie-break to four points at 2-2.
Sudden Death Deuce.
No Service Lets - if it goes in, it's in play.
No breaks between ends.
Short games, fast action, round-robin play.
Players will be grouped into similar abilities.
