GRAFTON TOUR FINALS (Sat 18 Aug from 10am)
Following on from the success of the Club Championships Finals Day, Saturday 18th August brings to you the 2018 Grafton Tour Finals. The GTF is a one day tournament styled on that of our professional counterparts, where the top 8 players from the leagues over the course of the year compete to be crowned the Grafton Tour Champ.
Players will be split into two groups where they will compete in a round robin format with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals.
7 of our 8 finalists are confirmed with Jack Wild at #1 seed set to defend his 2017 title. Looking to overthrow the reigning champ will be Phil Edbrooke, Giorgina Zinunula, Tom Hanson, Mike Young, Ben Kelly, Joshua Bappoo and one final finalist yet to be confirmed.
The bar will be open and the sun is set to shine so why not swing by, have a drink, have a hit, cheer on your favourite player and take in some of the action.
Live Draw - 10.15am
Group Stage - 10.30am
Semi-Finals - 2.30pm
Final - 3.30pm
MEMBERS' MEETING (Thurs 30 Aug, from 730pm)
This is our first members' meeting in what feels like ages, so let's make the most of it! This will give the committee a chance to provide an update on some of the areas critical to Grafton and will be a great chance to discuss topics relevant to the present and future of our club. The committee will draft an agenda over the coming weeks but would like your feedback on topics.
A suggestion box is now available at the bar for you to register any topics you’d like to see discussed. Apologies in advance if we have to prioritise some areas over others due to popularity, or time constraints.
EXTRA TENNIS AND SQUASH SOCIAL(Fri 17 Aug from 6pm)
Tennis and squash players just turn up and mix in as usual. Squash £2.50 for lights. You can always BYO BBQ or a picnic to make a night of it.
WHAT ABOUT THE FOX TROPHY?
You've seen the video over on Facebook, and from the conversations and Whatsapp messages we've received, people seem keen to sign up. Well, keep your eyes open for announcements, that are just around the corner...
