Spring is in full swing and summer on the way – time get your new Grafton Kit, hit the courts and get out and about. THE GREAT GRAFTON PUB CRAWL- 14th May 7pm Put 14th May in your diary, folks... Not because on this day in 1643 Louis XIV became King of France.... No... this date will mark the 2nd annual Grafton Pub crawl. The Grafton Social team are keeping the route a closely guarded secret for now, but suffice to say we'll be taking in some of South London's best boozers (yeah, OK, it's still a work in progress). There is an optional fancy dress theme: come dressed as your favourite tennis idol, think John McEnroe's 80s outfits, Andre Agassi's crazy hair and denim shorts. Alternatively just wear your tennis kit or show off your newly acquired Grafton team kit. Watch this space for further details and be sure to log on to the Members Facebook Group Page on the night to keep up to date with progress along the route. LADIES DAY Tennis and Lunch - 14th May 11am Calling all Grafton ladies! We will be having a mix-in /social on Saturday 14th May at 11am followed by some food. All welcome to come along (sorry no beginners) – please let Liz (lizzy389@hotmail.com) know if you are coming along so we can get idea of numbers. The cost will be £10 to include balls and food. The last one we did was really good fun so do come along, join in and limber up for the pub crawl in the evening. Hopefully the Spring sunshine will be out in full force. GRAFTON CHARITY CUP JUNE 11 You may have seen the invite earlier this week. Please keep the date in your calendar and sign up to help raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, which funds research and trials for the early detection of cancer and new anti-cancer treatments.
