The Winter Mixed Quarterfinals kick off in earnest this week. Details of upcoming matches will be broadcast accordingly. We also want to remind you of the Summer Champs early-bird discount. The deadline is this Wednesday at 11pm. You can still enter after this date, but will have to pay the full entry fee. How can you enter? LIZ NIX THE QUIZ (Wed 13 Mar, 9pm)
Quiz Night this Wednesday will be hosted by Nix and Wickerz! Come and pit your wits in a fun traditional pub quiz format. No weird and wonderful tastings, but some straightforward general knowledge and fun paper rounds await! Also Nix asks could all Millennium Cup squad members please make a special effort to come down to kick off this year's campaign with a drink over the quiz.
COACHING CHANGES
Dear Grafton Members:
It is with regret that we announce that new pastures and the lure of the bright lights of the City beckon for Aaron Dempster; he will be leaving the coaching team at Grafton at the end of the month.
Aaron has been a key force in the changes the team have made to our coaching program. In particular his attendance and willingness to mix in on Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday, and his general presence and engagement with the clubs membership have been a critical part in diving this change.
The coaching program will continues to evolve, as we strive to make our community club and more dynamic place in which to play the sport we hold dear. This will require the ongoing commitment, focus and flexibility from the team, as exemplified by Aaron during his time working for us.
Aaron is a very popular member of the team, and he will be greatly missed. We wish Aaron every success in his new venture and are extremely pleased that he will remain a club member, and continue to be a key figure in our first team.
Not easy shoes to fill, but over the coming weeks we will be working on securing the services of a new coach to help drive forward our expanded and more comprehensive spring / summer offering.

Course will cover: drills for doubles play,working as a pair, tactics on best way to beat opponents.

COACHES JOIN SOCIAL TENNIS (Wed 13 Mar from 7pm)
What a fantastic opportunity to get some inside tips from our resident experts on how to improve your doubles! Very timely too, given that Summer Champs are around the corner...
LIMITED ACCESS TO THE CLUBHOUSE (Tues 12 Mar from 7pm)
Please note that the school are having one of their occasional parent/teacher meetings this Tuesday. We need to accommodate this so the clubhouse area including the ladies' toilets will be inaccessible 1800-2000. The bar will be accessible via the patio doors.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
LADIES' NIGHT (Fri 22 Mar from 7pm)
Are you a lady? Interested in playing ladies' team tennis or just fancy a hit? Come down to Grafton on Friday 22nd March from 7pm. We’ll be running a mix-in doubles session for all levels. No doubt we will follow the session with a drink or two, so it is set to be a great night!
