Finals Day Recap / Schedule What a fantastic day of tennis that we had yesterday! So far the winners are: Men's Singles: Russell Taylor bt James Addlesont 75 64 Ladies' Singles: Giorgina Zinunula bt Morvern Scott 61 62 Plate Champion: Michael Young bt David Brown 64 36 76(6) While most of yesterday was warm and windy, thanks to a truly epic battle between Mike Young and David Brown, it delayed the start of the Ladies' Doubles Final. The ladies' doubles was interrupted by rain, with the final delicately poised at a set all. With that in mind, here's the schedule of the remaining matches: Wed 24 Aug - Mixed Doubles Final - Ben and Morvern vs James and Jessy Tues 30 Aug - Men's Doubles Final - Patrick and Dan vs James and David Sat 3rd Sept - Legends' Final - David Whitlam vs Richard Barker Sat 24 Sept - Ladies' Doubles Final - Dawn and GZ vs Morvern and Mel followed by: Legendettes' Final - Natalie vs Morvern The forecast for the coming weeks is especially good, so come on down and bring good cheer! Surrey Knockouts Deadline If you've not had your fill of competitive tennis, then please sign up for the Surrey Knockouts. Entries due in by Sunday, 28 August. Last we checked very few of us have signed up so far... Bank Holiday Social Tennis, Mon 29 Aug Yes- we are due another Bank Holiday! Which means, let's have a social. Come down from 14:00 onwards and make the most of the long weekend.
