SQUASH SQUASH AND MORE SQUASH
GRAFTON CLOSED: 2019 GRAFTON SQUASH CLOSED TOURNAMENTS: We begin the Grafton Squash Closed in late-April with a view to having the finals in late June/ early July. As with last year we are going to have two graded tournaments. GRADE A - open to all club players who either have >
750 points on the Squash Levels, or play team squash, or regularly in leagues 1-3; GRADE B - open to players in league 4 and below. Best of 5 sets to 15. The GRADE A tournament will be seeded (using Squash Levels) but there will be no seedings in the GRADE B tournament. To enter either of these then please give Lucas £5 and he will add your name to the lists. Entry deadline- SUN 21st APRIL
DAYTIME WHATSAPP GROUP: We are looking to set up a WhatsApp group for players who are available to play during the day on weekdays. These are times when the courts are not used but with an increasing number of people working from home then it’s a good opportunity to get some court time. If you are interested in joining then please email your details to Andrew Hoad (abhoad@hotmail.co.uk) who has kindly agreed to be the initial point of reference.
SQUASH SOCIAL: Following the success of the pre-Xmas squash social event we are planning to run another on THURSDAY 25th APRIL from 7 pm. Players of all standards can join in and the £5 fee will cover the lights and also some bar snacks etc. If you want to sign up then please give Lucas £5 and he will add your name to the list. Entry deadline- Sun 21st A
MEN OF GRAFTON, YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU
We are in the process of finalising the 1st, 2nd and 3rd team squads for the summer season which starts in May. If you are interested in playing for one of these teams (especially if you aren't already in one of the squads), it would be great if you can attend Tennis social on Tuesday evenings, and make yourself known to Steve Beales (1sts), Ben Kelly (2nds) or Rick Jones (3rds). The session is every week from 7-10pm. The teams play around 10-12 matches per year in the Surrey League, with matches normally on Sundays.
EASTER HOLIDAYS
Please note that the school have departed for the Easter holidays so we have clear use of the clubhouse until 23 April. So do feel free to arrange midweek daytime tennis/squash and liaise with Lucas/Murray for the bar.
MILLENNIUM CUP (Sat 6 Apr)
Grafton's Millennium Cup campaign kicks off on Saturday 6 April at home versus Norbury. Times are being confirmed but there will be plenty of action down the club from 10am to mid afternoon so do come on down and support the team!
The Millennium Cup is a friendly local competition where Grafton plays against four local clubs to compete for the coveted Millennium Cup trophy. Glory beckons!

We are doing the long-overdue work on refurbing the patio between now and 23 April so apologies for any inconvenience.

The Summer Champs is in full flow with a couple of upsets already. A reminder that you can update the winner of matches in mycourts, under the Tournament tab, and that you can follow the matches as they unfold by joining the WhatsApp Group:
