At this time of nationial sadness and reflection, we are pleased to announce the introduction of the Grafton Community Fund . Over the last 5 years our club as grown substantially and we are now in a firm position increase our focus on giving back to our local community.
Starting tomorrow with the Fox Trophy proceeds from numerous social events and tournaments (Summer Championships / Fox Trophy / Quiz Nights / American Doubles / Winter Mixed Doubles / The Grafton Cup / Christmas Raffle) will now be diverted to a charity voted for annually by our membership and, the newly formed Gary Walker Bursary.
The late Gary Walker was a Tennis coach and head coach at Grafton for many years. His legacy will always be the unrelenting energy he put in to brining tennis to kids from all corners of our local community, providing access to tennis for those that would not otherwise have had the good fortune to play the sport he loved so dearly. This will live on through the Gary Walker Bursary , set up to fund tennis lessons and courses for 3 kids from local institutions that would not typically have access.
