Seeing people back on court, doing what we do best, has been so amazing! Thanks to all those who're paying close attention to LTA guidelines about how best we can be safe and social. A reminder please that if a ball should roll over to your court, please

pick it up with your hands. Kick it back over. Knock it over with your racket, but please
don't
pick it up with your hands. Besides that, it seems that we're getting more and more used to playing socially distant tennis.

FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BAR MANAGEMENT
As intimated in the 11 May Newsletter, despite the uncertainty caused by the COVID- 19 pandemic our priorities In terms of financial investments must continue to be:
- Routine maintenance (courts / floodlights / facilities)
- Developmental upgrades such as the ladies' toilet refurbishment and, those still to be finalised as part of the Development Committee's ongoing work.
In order to keep us on this path. and after much discussion, it has become clear that we can no longer maintain the relative luxury of issuing the contracts for Bar Management and Maintenance services. Regrettably this means Lucas will no longer be running these areas for us effective immediately.
The bar will re-open as soon as permitted, more details on the volunteer-based plan to manage and run this area will follow.
As we are sure you can imagine this has been a very difficult decision. Lucas leaves the Grafon team after 10 years, during which time he has been a key cog in the Grafton wheel. He has played a massive part in the club's transformation. We are sure that you’ll join us in offering him a HUGE thanks for all his work during that time. It goes without saying we very much hope that he will remain a much-beloved club friend and member.
