60 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY (Sat 6 Apr from 7pm)
Mike and Joan Surridge celebrate their --wait for it-- 60th wedding anniversary, and extend an open invitation to join them in the bar to mark this giant milestone. There will be finger food and 1920s music, so come and raise a glass or two from 7pm.
Dress code: make an effort /smart
Please sign up at the bar to assist catering.
SUMMER CHAMPS COURT BOOKINGS
It's a record-breaking year with well over 300 entries, so it's set to be yet another incredible season of summer tennis at Grafton.You can keep an eye on the draw online under the Tournament tab on mycourts or in the clubhouse.
This year, there are plate tournaments for the Ladies' and Men's Singles tournaments as well as all Doubles Tournaments, so there's even more chance for entrants to take home some silverware on Finals day - Saturday 20th July 2019.
To help get through all the matches in time, there are pre-booked courts for tournaments matches on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7pm (Court 1 from 7pm-9pm and Court 2 from 7pm-8.30pm). You need to email graftonclubchamps@gmail.com to book a slot. If they are not requested by the Sunday before they will be released for general booking.

ADULT TENNIS COURSES (Thurs 28 Mar)
It's not too late to sign up! We are running a beginners and intermediate 6 week course starting this Thursday. Cost £50 members & £60 non members.
Beginners 7pm-8pm
Intermediates 8pm-9pm

AMERICAN DOUBLES (Sat 27 April from 1pm)
That's right-- it's time to start thinking about the first rooting, tooting, barnstorming event of the spring / summer tennis calendar. Sat 27th April marks the date for the annual American Doubles tournament!!!
Play 7 games of doubles / mix around / play 7 more games / mix around some more-- you get the idea! With a point on offer for each game won, the trophy is anyone’s to grab.
With the emphasis on fun doubles, it's a day for everyone and a great way to meet other members and new members.
Then of course there’s a Grafton After Party that will keep all you cowboys and a cowgirls line dancing until the early hours.
So we can gauge interest please sign up at the bar. Keep the date, come along at 1pm and help us bring summer in with style!!!
