BOB TAYLOR SQUASH DOUBLES TOURNAMENT (Sat 4 Sept)
Bob Taylor, a stalwart of the Grafton for over 40 years, sadly passed away suddenly earlier this year. To celebrate his contribution to the club we are setting up an annual Squash Doubles Tournament in his name.
The first Bob Taylor Trophy will take place on Saturday 4th September from 4-7pm to coincide with the Fox Trophy and will be followed by a social event at the club afterwards.
If you want to be included in this event, then please email Graeme (graeme.hogarth@kcl.ac.uk) BY Wednesday 25th August.
If you have a preferred doubles partner then put both names in the email. If you don’t, you'll be paired up on the day. The exact format will depend upon numbers, but we will guarantee you plenty of court time and a lot of fun!

Doubles : sign up here: https://forms.gle/C8zDjkhn2QS3CELx7 and ensure you are free for the whole day of the event. We’ll try to pair the unpaired. Pay on the day.

This Wednesday at 9pm is the big quiz comeback. Emma and Sarah are cooking up something special!

UNISEX FACILITIES
A reminder that the toilets are unisex. Kindly refrain from using the urinals. Please close cubicle doors behind you when using the facilities. Please be mindful that the facilities are being used by everyone and not exclusively by one particular gender. Wearing face masks is strongly encouraged.
TENNIS COURT BOOKING RULES
Please be mindful of the below rules as we still get queries regarding them. If you have to cancel a court, please try to do so as early as possible. If it has to be a last minute cancellation, then please put a message on The Grafton Chronicle Whatsapp chat, so someone else can make the most of that court. All bookings, including last minute bookings, need to comply with the below rules:
> Please state your opponent on your bookings. If you're practising your serve please choose "Serving Practice" as your "opponent".
*** Serving Practice is an off-peak only activity.***
> All bookings with no opponents selected 72 hours in advance of play will be cancelled
Please bear in mind the below hours:
WEEKDAYS:
0800-1600 Off Peak
1600-2200 Peak
WEEKENDS:
0800-1600 Peak
1600-2200 Off Peak
The below is particularly pertinent to off-peak members, so please note:
SOCIAL TENNIS
Wednesday : Only Peak members may attend
Sunday: Peak and Off Peak members may attend
TENNIS TEAM PRACTICES
Monday / Tuesday / Friday / Weekends : Only Peak members may attend
Leagues and Tournaments: Only Peak members may participate
