It’s another exciting newsletter this week Graftoners !

We’re delighted to announce the Fox and the Summer Championships (with a twist) are back, add to Autumn Squash Group Coaching and Summer Quizzes into the mix and we fun packed next few months.

Note, Some of the Tournaments below require sign-up and payments via MyCourts. The registration process is simple.

  • Top up your account under the ‘Your Account’ menu section in MyCourts (all cards accepted)
  • Sign-up under the ‘Tournaments’ menu section in MyCourts, the resitraion fee will automatically be deducted.

IT'S TIME TO GET FOXEY: Fox Trophy 2021- Sat 4th Sept 2021

That right…it’s back. The bast day of the year beckons!

For those that are new to the ‘FOX’, this very much a FUN all-day doubles tournament , where top league level players are paired with lower league level players creating a level playing field.

An z is very much encouraged, so get inventive with the fancy dress and help bring the summer season to an end in style!

The £15 entry fee on the day includes balls tea/cakes, trophies, prizes - Lunch - Cup! Trophies! Prizes !

Tournament check-in will be 9:30am, and play will run all day until 7pm followed by the legendary the Fox After Party

All standards welcome and very much encouraged . The deadline for entries is Sept 1st, places are limited to 24 ‘Foxettes and 24 ‘Foxes’.

Grafton Summer Championships 2021 are GO !

Ladies and men’s singles; mixed, ladies and men’s doubles; over-45 ladies and over-50 men’s singles. Juniors by separate arrangement. Plate tournaments for first-round singles exits.

The three doubles cups will be one-off, all-day social events in rapid format with group stages.

KEY DATES

  • Aug 20: Entry closing date
  • Aug 23: Singles starts
  • Sep 18: Mixed doubles all-dayer
  • Oct 2: Ladies doubles all-dayer
  • Oct 16: Men’s doubles all-dayer
  • Nov 6: Finals day (singles)

Doubles : sign up here: https://forms.gle/C8zDjkhn2QS3CELx7 and ensure you are free for the whole day of the event. We’ll try to pair the unpaired. Pay on the day.

The tight timetable means matches must be played by deadline, so please be flexible. It’s going to be a bit different this year, but we hope it will be fun.

AUTUMN TERM JUNIOR GROUP SQUASH COURSES - Booking now open

Our Squash Head Coach Marco is now accepting sign-ups for the upcoming AUTUMN TERM JUNIOR GROUP COURSES starting in September!

Sessions are tailored to everyone to meet their goals, working in your needs within the Group. Sessions will aim for the development of the gameplay for all players, from beginners to advanced, working in their needs and goals. The Group sessions are planned for all levels in order to get improvements, in a challenging but relaxed and fun environment, focused in their progression week after week. Each session will include

  • Dynamic warm-ups
  • Fun games for the improvement of the ABC’s – Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed
  • Squash basics and demonstration of the technic/shot/drill/routine
  • Group drills/routines
  • Feed drills and routines
  • Game play/Conditioned games
  • Summary and actions to improve

Our Junior programme (term fee payments) will be run Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, depending of the age/level. Places are limited!
