HITTING SESSIONS WITH TENNIS PRO
We are delighted to announce that former tour pro Alex Ward will be joining the club and will be available for hitting sessions over the summer after moving to the area. Alex, who reached a career high of 242, won 16 ITF Futures Titles during his career, before retiring last September.
His career highlights include playing Wimbledon Main Draw twice, receiving a Wild Card before losing to David Goffin in 2016 before qualifying for SW19 the following year, eventually losing to Kyle Edmund in 4 sets.
Alex is now a full time coach at JTC, which is based at National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.
The cost will be £40 per hour, or £60 per hour as a pair, with demand expected to be high. If you’re interested in putting some time in the diary, you can contact him at alexward634@gmail.com.
MILLENNIUM CUP FINAL (30 June)
We’ve battled our way to the final of this local tournament. See www.millenniumcup.org for details.
The format is 9 matches on courts 1/2/3 starting 1000. We need a crowd and atmosphere to get us over the line against Telford so you’re very welcome to come along, not least to enjoy the lavish lunch that will be on offer. All day bar of course!
LADIES' NIGHT TENNIS SOCIALS
