TOURNAMENT AND CURRY NIGHT (Fri 23 Nov Dec from 7pm)
Our new head coach Gary Walker and team will be organising a fun doubles evening for all standards.There’ll be a tournament, handy coaching tips and the chance to meeting our coaching team!
Once you’ve worked up an appetite there will be a fabulous home cooked curry on offer.
You must register for this event by signing up at the bar or by sending an email to gary.sports.walker@gmail.com. When signing up please indicate your choice of either chicken or vegetarian curry.
The cost of entry £10, cash only in advance.

COMMITTEE MEETING (13 November)
The Grafton Committee will be holding its final meeting for the year on 13th November. If you have any topics that you'd like the Committee to discuss, then please do use the suggestion box at the bar.

SQUASH NOTICES
SQUASH HANDICAP is now at the semi-final stages. In the main draw Luke Jacques (-15) vs Othman Hack (-8) and Oliver Dudman (-16) vs Graeme Hogarth (-17) and in the plate Vivian Hogarth (-3) vs Chris White (-10) and Tom Chicken (-9) vs Gabriel Bowen (0). We hope to run the finals in early December!
SQUASH FINES - the fines system was adopted in 2015 when demand at peak times was high. Following a recent review, we have now decided to have an amnesty for a trial period. The biggest frustration amongst members is courts being booked but not used. We will now be focusing on people who do not cancel bookings. Thus, please cancel the court booking in good time so that others may use it. The MyCourts system will still log late cancellations so that we can see which individuals are cancelling at short notice but no fine will be incurred during the trial period.
PRE-CHRISTMAS SQUASH TOURNAMENT - with Xmas approaching any excuse to get out of the house and do some exercise should be taken. Provided we have adequate interest, then we are planning a pre-Xmas tournament on Tuesday 18th December from 7pm onwards. To sign up please email Graeme and provided we can get 8-10 players we will run a round robin tournament followed by mince pies and drinks. Cost is £5 to cover lights and food.
SQUASH COURT REPAIRS - most will have noticed the development of some small holes in the front and side walls. Rest assured we are investigating the best way to fix these and hope to have a plan in place in the near future.
SQAUSH COURT HEATING - courts should be drier during the autumn/winter following completion of the new heaters over the summer. It is important that all of the court heaters, radiators and ventilation fans are left switched on to ensure good distribution of heat in the squash building and to avoid condensation on the outside walls. If you feel that the courts are too hot, please let Lucas know.

I inadvertently picked up the wrong Babolat bag and racket on Weds after Social Tennis! I now have a racket with a blue handle and an orange dampener, mine is white with a blue dampener. Apologies to whomsoever's racket it is. I will leave it behind the bar or phone me on 07958927961. Does anyone know where mine is?! I blame the Amber Nectar. Thanks, Nigel
